MAXWELL
NIGHT

Night has come, at last. The final project closing out the trilogy of Maxwell-themed relationship projects. The 45-year-old Grammy Award–winning artist kicks off the launch of his new campaign with the release of “Shame.” Maxwell describes this suave jam as a modern love song tackling dating in the age of social media. The production builds on big swells of synth and percussion, and it’s more focused on groove and atmosphere than on Maxwell’s voice or melodic sensibility.

Ronson has described the album, which also features guest vocals by King Princess, Alicia Keys, Camila Cabello, and Yeeba, as being an album of “sad bangers” influenced by his recent divorce.
