MOLLY
Honey Doom

Ghanaian American singer-songwriter Moliy takes on the perfect woman empowerment anthem of the year, teaming up with South African artist, Moonchild Sanelly—widely known for her major contribution to Beyonce’s Black is King album. Introducing us to a preview of what’s to come on her highly anticipated upcoming EP Honey Doom, this smooth bop is infused with a beautiful collaboration of hip hop and Afrobeat sounds while laced with baddie energy. This upcoming project embodies her own experimental journey with her sound, which remains otherworldly, airy, and optimistic while expanding to include more of her influences globally.

ETHER ROCKS
Ether Rocks

With his sophomore album, Ether Rocks, produced entirely by Harlem, New York’s Ron Browz (Nas’s “Ether,” Jim Jones’s “Pop Champagne,” etc.), the project sees Rock’s ominous tone and sharp flow transposed from the traditional boom-bap beats of Da Beatminerz and others into a sonic backdrop that retains grit yet bolsters an updated and more sophisticated style from the legendary emcee. The 12-track LP boasts guest appearances from Method Man, Steele (Smif-NWessun), Ruste Juxx, and more and is out through American B Boy Records in partnership with Fat Beats. This project is a deliberate attempt to break out of the underground rap box and ease into “grown-man rap.”

XAVIER DANIELS

BIO

Paintings are influenced by his experiences with brotherhood at both Morehouse and as a firefighter. In creating his art, he is actively thinking about the perception of black men and attempting to be a catalyst for a different view on the black male experience. According to Daniels, the conversations happening in popular culture about black males leave them invisible in discussions about themselves. The portraits of black men Daniels creates are large in an effort to symbolically assert black male presence into those conversations. His work has been shown around the world through Almine Rech and Richard Beavers Gallery. Xavier lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia.
